What if when his family died, Danny didn’t just give up on life and try to stop feeling everything. What if he refused to believe that they were gone for good. What if he started looking for a way to get them back.

What if he found Clockwork.

And he begged and pleaded for Clockwork to turn back time, to bring them back, but Clockwork couldn’t just turn back time for one tiny little family; he only moved for Big Important Things like apocalypses and paradoxes… 

What if to get his family back Danny had to create an apocalypse? What if to save himself and his family he had to create a paradox?

But Danny knew that he couldn’t do that, couldn’t kill people even if it would be undone and erased from time…

So he asked Vlad to cut out his feelings so he could destroy the world and get his family back. 

I’m not saying he was completely lucid; he’s still depressed and grieving and unstable… But what if, rather than being fueled by a random, blind rage, he was fueled by something that was actually important to Danny. What if he was fueled by the desire to see his family and friends again…

And what if he succeeded.
