im not the best at being accurate about lighting but this is how i do it. I use lots of watercolor brushes and use of setting layers to multiply and hard light. I don’t really have a set way of how to pick what colors to shade with other than what looks nice, but lighting usually should match what the environment around the object is like or what color the light is that is hitting it.
if there’s lineart i usually don’t touch it much besides setting it to a nice color that compliments the art, and sometimes i add lighting to the edges of the lineart
