origin of aspergers: hans asperger, who developed his thing the same time as kanner (so basically, kanner had “his autism,” and asperger had “his autism,” if that makes sense). due to nazis & action t4, han’s papers about autism and stuff heavily played on the beneficial parts and highlighted their best qualities… so the kids wouldn’t get killed. legit just highlighted the best so he could save the most kids, not “keep the good autistics.” (unfortunately, some of his kids were still murdered.)
