I used to think the NRA and gun sellers were just callously indifferent to mass shootings. But it’s more twisted than that: Any time something like that happens, gun sales go through the roof. They make an absolute fortune. It is now in these people’s best financial interests to get guns into the hands of crazy young men. Think I’m being too cynical?
